With so many facial treatments on the market, it can be hard to decide which one to try first. Here at Newcastle Hair and Beauty Clinic, we know that the HydraFacial™ treatment definitely hits the spot for us and our amazing clients. As we’ve been voted the best hair and Beauty Salon in Newcastle and the best beauty team in the North east we think we know a thing or two about beauty!
HydraFacial™ uses hydradermabrasion techniques to give you an all in one cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection. It’s ideal for a winter treat for your skin, to maintain your skin’s condition or to perk it up for a big party or event.

What is HydraFacial™?
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Hydrafacial, it’s safe, non-invasive treatment that’s effective and kind to your skin. It works in the same way as traditional microdermabrasion but uses water and active serums instead of crystals.
The results can be amazing – you can often see a difference from the first treatment if you have congested and enlarged pores, acne-prone skin, fine lines, hyperpigmentation or brown spots. It suits all skin types, and you don’t need to book time off work or hide from people for 24 hours afterwards while your skin calms down. It’s absolutely amazing, and we love it.
The HydraFacial uses advanced technology to give your skin a thorough clean, and specially-blended serums that effectively nourish and hydrate it. The 4-in-1 Vortex Technology™ does everything using one unit, your therapist will just change the tip between steps.
What happens during a Hydrafacial?
You just have to sit back and relax while we use the clever technology to give you the best skin of your life.
• Step 1 – Cleanse and Exfoliate. The serum is delivered right into your skin, and the spiral tip uses vacuum powered steam to cleanse and wash away any dead skin cells.
• Step 2 – A Gentle Peel. After the skin is exfoliated and cleaned, the next tip is added. This part of the treatment infuses the skin with a deep cleansing serum that contains salicylic and glycolic acid to help loosen dirt, dead skin and sebum from your pores.
• Step 3 – Vacuum Extraction. Without changing the tip, the next serum is added. This one contains ingredients that help to remove the dirt, dead skin and sebum that was loosened in step 2, and if you’re anything like us you’ll get twisted pleasure from looking at it all afterwards! To follow this your skin will be soothed and hydrated.
• Step 4 – Instant Hydration. The final touch, where we add a nourishing antioxidant formula serum to complete the good work and keep your skin feeling and looking tip-top.
Does it hurt?
No, not at all. Some people have described the sensation of a HydraFacial™ treatment as a cool paintbrush moving over their face – it’s not unpleasant and it’s certainly not painful or uncomfortable.
There’s no downtime involved so you can even have a treatment in your lunch break and put your make up straight back on afterwards if you want to.
How quickly does HydraFacial™ work?
People see a big difference after just one treatment, although this varies depending on your skin type and its condition. We don’t recommend any more than two sessions a month for best maintenance results. However, if it’s acne or anti-ageing you may need a course of one per week. One session is usually enough for a special occasion.
There are extras you can add to the core skincare treatment – If you’d love to try a basic HydraFacial™ or you’re looking for help with acne reduction, anti-ageing or even pigmentation reduction, come and chat to us about how HydraFacial can help you .
